STEALTH TECHNOLOGY
Combining the latest in thermofixation & coating developments, our Stealth Technology® simultaneously increases fibre crystallinity, provides abrasion-resistant protection and evens out all stresses in our ropes, allowing for every single fibre to work together—equally sharing the load—thus increasing total performance and strength to produce ropes second to none.
THE PROCESS:
Raw, braided Stealth Fibre® is immersed and impregnated with a specially formulated, proprietary coating.
The freshly coated rope then passes through a pre-drying unit to cure the coating.
Finally, the rope passes through a heat setting oven, where force is applied to bed the rope down and remove virtually all constructional elongation.
STRONGER THAN STEEL
Stealth Fibre® ropes, like Super-12 & GP-12, are not only stronger than steel wire rope of the same diameter but weigh 8 times less! This not only makes handling the rope easier but makes it dramatically safer to use. The combination of low specific gravity and ultra-low stretch means there is low kinetic energy and minimal inertia if the line fails.
LIGHTER THAN WATER
With a specific gravity of 0.97, Stealth Fibre® is naturally buoyant and floats in both salt and fresh water. This is a key factor when working at depth as you do not need to account for any additional weight from the line, as you would for wire rope or even polyester.
